What we believe about giving:

“A tithe of everything… Belongs to the Lord; it is holy to the Lord.” Leviticus 27:30

“But remember this: If you give little, you will get little. A farmer who plants just a few seeds, will get only a small crop, but if he plants much, he will reap much.” 2 Corinthians 9:6

There are 3 categories of giving:

1) Tithes
2) Offerings (over and above the tithe)
3) Vision Offering (offerings that are given towards the growth and vision of the church

At Thrive Church, we practice tithing for the support of Christ’s Body, the church, as God commands. We recognise that giving 10% of our income is the Biblical standard for giving.

Through our giving we are able to help, equip and move people towards Jesus.

The giving of tithes and offerings is also an expression of our worship to Jesus Christ, giving is not just a business transaction, it is an expression of gratitude and worship towards God.

Many people love to give to God but need to have confidence in the methods and purposes used by organisations to which they give. Therefore, when people are able to see honesty, integrity and genuine spiritual values reflected in the lifestyles of their church leaders, they are more willing to give. We believe in wise financial management and good governance in our books and we have an open transparency policy with regards to our finances.
